Sometimes summer is so good that we simply don’t want to acknowledge what the calendar says. That’s when the time for last minute adventures begins.
At Aranypart Camping & Apartments, the holiday mood is still in full swing. People relax on the beach, enjoy the water, white sails glide across the lake, there’s plenty of activity around our sports courts, lángos is being fried, burgers are being prepared, and in the evenings life is buzzing. If it weren’t for September just around the corner, you’d hardly notice the difference. Autumn caravan holidays offer a whole new dimension: in the morning, sip your coffee while watching the mist over the lake; during the day, the rhythm of lakeside life sets the pace; and in the evening, retreat to the cosy comfort of your own rolling home. The pitches are well-maintained, with electricity included in the price. On Comfort pitches, electricity, water, and sewage connections are also available – but at this time of year, the true extras are peace and freedom.

Camping by the lakeshore gives you a sense of freedom you won’t find anywhere else. You’re close to nature, the water, and all the infrastructure you need for comfort: clean showers and toilets, a communal kitchen, fire pits, a restaurant, a bar, buffets, sports courts, and stunning views of Lake Balaton.

Top autumn programmes in Siófok
The off-season is truly the time for last minute holidays, as it’s your last chance this year to take a dip in Lake Balaton, enjoy a delicious fried hake on the shore, and soak up the sun. Siófok and the surrounding area are full of experiences – gather as many as you can to carry you through until spring. Here are our favourite activities to add some colour to your autumn getaway.
- Panorama spots: Visit the Siófok Water Tower, or take a ride on the Ferris Wheel. Breathtaking views await as your reward. Plan your visit for sunset – don’t worry, in September there won’t be long queues!
- Boat Trips: Sightseeing and leisure cruises run in September as well. On 2 September 2025, you can even board the unique “Yoga on board!” programme boat.
- Additionally, with Bahart Zrt.’s scheduled services departing from Siófok, you can visit the iconic peninsula and other towns around Lake Balaton. Fresh air, calm waters – Lake Balaton rocks you gently as you head toward Tihany. What could be a more perfect highlight of your holiday?
- Harbour Promenade, Jókai Park, Rose Garden: Take a stroll among the old villas and explore the beautifully maintained parks. In the evening light, the Siófok Harbour has a magical atmosphere – the returning sailboats, the peacefully swimming ducks and swans, and the sunset together create a scene almost too beautiful to be real.
- 4 September 2025 – Jókai Picnic at Jókai Park: Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mór Jókai’s birth. Enjoy a statue unveiling, a musical-literary programme, and a free screening of the famous Hungarian cartoon, Szaffi for preschoolers at the Sió Cinema.
- Adventure Day in the Area: Visit the Zamárdi Adventure Park for a dose of adrenaline, or head to the Bella Zoo Park in Siófok, where you can even ride a camel.
- 11 September 2025, 5:00 PM – Joyful Music in Siófok at the Civil House: Drumming, rhythm games, and trying out instruments with Dávid Nádas – free, but registration is required.
- Bamboo Island is buzzing until 30 September! Try water skiing, monoskiing, landlock, wakeboarding, and wakeskating – then relax on the floating island, just a stone’s throw from the campsite and holiday resort.
- Wine tasting at local wineries: Sip into the harvest season! The Balaton wine region is celebrating in style this autumn too.
